The egg® Shell (i-Size) Car Seat meets R129 safety standards and keeps your baby safe and comfortable from birth to around 15 months (40–80cm).

Because it follows the latest i-Size (R129) regulations, it delivers enhanced protection on every journey. The reinforced side-impact shell helps absorb force in a collision, while the memory foam headrest cushions your baby’s head. In addition, the inner-body padding supports newborns around the sides and upper legs. As your baby grows, you can easily remove this padding to continue using the seat up to 13kg.

To keep your child secure, the 3-point safety harness adjusts quickly with a push-button release. You can then tighten it in one smooth pull for a snug fit. At the same time, soft shoulder and crotch pads help keep your baby comfortable, even during sudden stops.

For everyday convenience, the car seat includes a four-position retractable canopy. It not only matches the premium fabric and signature egg® design, but also provides reliable sun protection. Meanwhile, the handle offers three positions, including a stabiliser mode that helps prevent rocking on flat surfaces.

If you want to create a travel system, you can attach the egg® Shell to the egg3® stroller range using multi car seat adaptors (sold separately). Once attached, the handle helps lock the seat securely into place.

When it comes to installation, you can pair the seat with the egg® ISOFIX Base (sold separately) for a firm and reliable fit. The base features an extendable support leg and clear indicators, so you can check everything is installed correctly. Alternatively, you can secure the seat using a standard 3-point vehicle seatbelt (ECE R44/04).
