Furthermore, we make the Sleep Tight Baby Bed using sustainably sourced Dupont™ Sorona® fibre. Not only is Sorona® Oeko-Tex® 100 Class 1 Certified, but it also contains 37% plant-based ingredients. Because of this, it is kinder to the environment and softer on delicate skin. Alongside this, we use a non-toxic glue that is safe for babies and the planet. Importantly, it withstands daily use without harmful chemicals. If you remove the cover, you may notice this glue inside. In fact, its natural sand colour comes from the absence of bleach or harsh additives.

Is the Sleep Tight Baby Bed safe for overnight sleep?

To begin with, the Baby Bed has sides that feel soft yet stay supportive. Additionally, the materials resist flattening, even with regular use. However, many traditional nests use heavily cushioned sides, which can pose a suffocation risk. Therefore, we designed structured sides instead. As a result, your baby cannot cover their face or head while sleeping.

Moreover, we craft the Sleep Tight Baby Bed with Dupont™ Sorona® fibre. Once again, this certified material feels gentle on skin while supporting sustainable production. At the same time, we use a non-toxic adhesive that remains strong through frequent washing. If you look closely, you may see it inside the bed once the cover is removed. Notably, its sand tone reflects its natural, chemical-free composition.

Above all, safety guides every decision we make. With safer sleep guidelines in mind, we designed the Sleep Tight Baby Bed with a firm, flat mattress suitable from birth. Because no single safety standard exists for a product like this, we instead tested it against relevant aspects of existing sleep product standards.

Throughout development, independent UK laboratories carried out a full risk assessment and detailed safety testing for everyday and overnight use.

As part of this process, the results include:

• Airflow safety test – BS4578:1970: PASS, thanks to the innovative foam within the side walls

• Flammability and chemical test – BS5852: PASS, due to naturally low-flammability materials that suit sensitive skin

• BS EN 1466 (relevant carrycot standards):

  • Side wall rigidity: PASS, as structured walls reduce suffocation and overheating risk

  • Side wall retention / roll test: PASS, confirming babies remain safely inside

It is worth noting that some carrycot requirements, such as handles, do not apply to this product and were not tested.
