We started our business in 1998 and we have come a long way since then with expanding our brands and business to meet the growing needs of the product ranges and safety standards, the ‘baby market’ evolves every year so we are kept on our toes and its exciting to do so.
Yes we have an open door policy and are busiest on Saturday and Sunday of course, which is why we can’t run appointments on these days as we like to help everyone that calls in to see us. Please see our opening times and location for information

All the brands that you can see here on our site, unless we have to specify it is an online brand only, we like to know what we are selling so this is the best way, unlike others that just list any product or brand and don’t even show it or know it

Besides the obligatory 14 days return period we offer an extended warranty period as per each specific manufacturer – ranging from 6 months to 5 years dependent on the specific item. Please read our Warranty Information for more details
All our goods sold in store and online are from respected brands in the UK nursery industry which gives you peace of mind as in the UK we have the highest testing standards, hence we don’t import our own branded goods under a name you’re not familiar with that may not have been through the UK standards tests. Fire rated is a common one as opposed to EU that does not have this as a requirement
We try our utmost to bring you the best pricing in store and online for your babies needs. We offer exclusive in store deals and offer events so you can be assured of our best pricing. We ‘bundle’ deals where we can to offer a discounted price for the items you need, and finally offer an online discount code on the brands and items that we possibly can.
Yes indeed! As we are key suppliers to the best brands on the market you will find that many of the top brands are very aware of the future developments in fabrics for e.g. being manufactured using recycled plastic bottles. Please check the product listing details for this.
Only in store at present as we are not set up for private in store demos to be filmed, however on our social channels you can see many reels we have filmed on many products
We offer Monday to Friday 24 hour delivery service using DPD couriers that provides you with a one hour time slot on your day of delivery so you can plan your day around this. 48 hour delivery is for certain postcode areas and may have additional charges. Please see our delivery page for details
Orders placed before 3pm are dispatched on a 24 Hour Service UK mainland (48 hour for certain postcodes) via DPD couriers for delivery next working day. Please note we cannot dispatch or deliver goods on Saturdays, Sundays or Public holidays. If your mobile phone number is given during the order process, on the scheduled day of delivery, you will receive SMS Text message notification of a 1 hour time-slot for delivery for that day. The same applies for your email address. If you are unavailable during this time slot, you will be able to re-arrange delivery via SMS Text message.
A signature is required for all DPD deliveries and items cannot be left without a signature for your and our security of your purchase.
DPD couriers will text and email you with your tracking and time slot information, if you supplied your correct mobile number and email address on your order with us
As per distance selling regulations if you receive your order and it is not what you are expecting, you can return it back to us within 14 days of receiving the goods for a full refund. Unfortunately, as we offer free delivery, we are unable to provide free returns. Therefore, returning the unwanted item(s) is at your own cost and arrangement.
Yes providing you have been in contact with us prior and we have authorised it (so we can expect it). Once inspected in store we will authorise the refund through the website /payment portal which takes a few days to show back on your account
This can be a common fear and understandable especially when it is a purchase of some value, as with all purchases online you can check on the company beforehand? – In our case you will see we are a ‘Bricks & Mortar’ busy retail store satisfying valued customers for over 25 years with all major brands supporting us, we specialise in the baby goods market and have extensive experience with what you are purchasing. We also utilise Paypal services for our checkout and your payment which is probably the most renowned and trusted e-commerce payment partner there is (no need to set up a Paypal account, as they accept all major card payments) and is 100% secure guaranteed to you, so you can buy with confidence. Your Payment and personal details are private and very important to YOU & US! In all our years of trading online we appreciate the absolute requirement for privacy and security, so we only use Paypal checkout which is 100% guaranteed secure for your payment plus does not transfer any card details etc. and we therefore only see what information we need to know to get your purchases safely to you – These delivery details are only used once for our courier (to get your item to you and to update you on progress) and stored by us only as a record of your purchase for any future customer service if you require it and for tax and vat purposes and crucially NOT ‘passed’ onto 3rd party marketing etc. or for us to bombard you with selling emails (which we know personally how annoying and untrustworthy this can be as a customer). As for cookies you will see that our site only uses cookies for our site to function well and again does not allow other ‘marketeers’ to track or obtain any information of what you are interested in on our site. We believe in honest and verified feedback and hence we choose to work with an independent and trusted review platform – Reviews.io – who will independently contact you via email to ask if you would like to leave us a review, which is then a valued and verified purchase review, not a random or spam comment like others can use. Even google reviews aren’t verified by a purchase or even a true visit to store.
For some services (orders for e.g.), Affordable Baby will require your e-mail address & phone number or other personal information such as your name, company, address etc. which are required to process an order only (not for marketing) Providing us with this personal and identifiable information is of course optional. However, in some cases it may not be possible for us to provide the service in question (i.e. deliver your order for e.g.) without receiving specific information from you.
